Trauma Therapy

Many people experience trauma or stressful situations in their lives, such as a car accident, assault, the death of a loved one, bullying, or abuse. These traumatic or stressful events can then lead to ongoing difficulties with sleep, concentration, crying spells, or somatic symptoms in your body such as headaches or tightness. Maybe you avoid certain places or people because you are invaded by overwhelming images and panic. It may be hard to remember the old you, before that stressful event. If left untreated, trauma can affect your body, ability to focus at school or work, and impact your relationships.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a type of therapy that incorporates calming eye movements (similar to EMDR) and a technique called Voluntary Image Replacement (where you are choosing the images you would like to think of) to lessen or remove the impact of that trauma on your life and body. ART is evidenced-based and has been demonstrated to deliver results in typically 1-5 sessions. Using ART, you do not need to talk about your trauma which makes it very different from traditional Talk Therapy. I utilize ART with clients who experience PTSD symptoms, but it can also be very effective in relieving anxiety, depression, panic attacks, performance anxiety and grief.

Fees: Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) sessions are typically longer and are scheduled for an hour and 20 mins.

$300 per 80-minute sessions.
